Key Priorities at a Glance

The Huon Gulf District Integrated Development Plan (HGDIDP) 2023–2027 provides the district’s long‑term development direction. It aligns local priorities with national and provincial strategies, including PNG Vision 2050, PNG Development Strategic Plan, MTDP III, and Morobe Provincial Government’s Kundu Vision 2048.

The objective of this plan is to promote and guide the district on a path of sustainable economic growth for prosperity and high quality of life.

intergrated planning

The framework aligns all LLG plans (Wampar, Salamaua, Morobe) with district priorities and higher‑level national and provincial directives. A structured alignment process ensures consistency with District Sectoral Goals, Provincial Policy Goals, MTDP III Key Result Areas, and Vision 2050 Development Pillars—maintaining compliance and strengthening eligibility for government funding.

The district also works in partnership with the Morobe Provincial Government under the District Development Authority Act, enabling coordinated service delivery, reducing duplication, and reinforcing legally mandated collaboration.
