The Nadzab Land Development Authority (NLDA) Board has been officially sworn in, marking a major milestone for the transformation of Nadzab into a modern township and economic hub.
The NLDA will oversee land development, township planning, and infrastructure expansion supported by amendments to key national laws, including the Land Act, Physical Planning Act, and Survey Act.
The project aims to:
- Reduce congestion in Lae
- Create new economic corridors
- Integrate customary landowners into development
- Support long‑term urban growth in Morobe Province
